Lila has left San Miguel, and is currently living in Chicago, working as the chef at XOCO, Rick Bayless's ode to Mexican street food. If you're ever in Chicago... :)
For more on XOCO, check out the blog, At the Corner of Clark & Illinois. Also, see the NEWS section, for more reviews and other fun bits and pieces.

Lila Shaw Lash is the Dinner Goddess. While in San Miguel, Lila ran a personal chef & catering business, as well as contributed a monthly column to Atencion San Miguel, and was an occasional editorial contributor to Inside Mexico.
Kirsten & MeMy latest DG column is an interview with the lovely Kirsten West. Formerly the director of Sazón, she's moved on to bigger and better things, so make sure and check it out in NEWS.
Festival Sabor San Miguel Round-upI can't decide which part of this incredible weekend was more surreal, so I'll just leave it to some great images. Click here. Cooking with Diana Kennedy again, meeting so many incredibly prolific Mexican chefs, joining Roberto Santibañez on the demonstration stage for his lecture. Rodolfo Rubio from Sabor outdid himself, so we only have many future festivals to look forward to in the years to come. Buen provecho!
Catching up with Señora DianaThe editors of Inside Mexico invited me to interview Diana Kennedy for their "Women and Mujeres" issue. Click here.

Cooking with Rick
I had a chance to join Rick Bayless in the kitchens of Sazón in San Miguel for a series of private classes. See Archives for The Dinner Goddess column.
Global peasants of the world unite! In early December, over coffee at Adam's El Cafe, I stumbled upon the Global Peasant-- Diane Thompson. An avid foodie blogger/community kitchen cheerleader/future culinary school enrollee/ and just all around cool gal. We were immediately kindred spirits and chatted and shared ideas over a steaming mug of cappuccino. Diane trekked back to her home in Vancouver and posted a few thoughts about our chat... Check it out... Scroll down to December 16, 2007.
